Empordà Modern Residence renovation. Sandra Tarruella Interioristas has been the choice of our client to carry out the Interior Design Project of their new residence, designed by BCA Arquitectura. This modern construction house is located in a picturesque village in Baix Empordà.
The focus of the interior design is on achieving a rustic ambiance that harmonizes with the privileged surroundings of the house. Traditional finishes such as stone, lime paint, and a continuous light-toned flooring have been employed. In addition, linen fabrics and natural fibers have been selected to add warmth to the space.
The distribution of the rooms has been adapted to the existing architectural volume. Upon entering the residence, a large mirror welcomes guests, providing brightness and spaciousness to the entrance, while also concealing a wardrobe behind it.
The kitchen, considered a crucial meeting point, has been placed in the center of the house with a large island. This area serves not only as a food preparation space but also as a gathering and conversation area.
Moving on, the living-dining room features a high ceiling with wooden beams. The dining room furniture, such as the table and chairs, are made of natural oak wood. For the living room, rustic furniture of large proportions and character has been designed, complemented by Italian design pieces that add a touch of modernity. The space is oriented towards the fireplace and the garden, which extends to the porch, created as a natural extension of the interior.
The porch features a semi-transparent pergola cover made of artisanal fibers, providing a magical play of light and shadow indoors. Under this structure, a large cream Levante marble table has been placed for summer dinners, along with a seating area. Adjacent to the living room is the office and TV room.
In the other wing of the residence, the bedrooms are located, consisting of three suites designed while maintaining the color palette and natural materials of the entire project. It has been a pleasure for Sandra Tarruella Interioristas to participate in the remodeling of a modern residence in Empordà.
