Barcelona apartment interior renovation by Sandra Tarruella Interioristas, located in the Raval neighborhood of Barcelona, we have approached the project with meticulous care. Special attention has been given to respecting the original architectural elements that define the character of the space, such as the vaulted ceiling and brick walls, seamlessly integrating them into the new interior design.
Initially, the floor housing the apartment consisted of four very deteriorated units. We transformed these units into a residence for a couple with four children, accompanied by two independent studios intended for rent. We adapted the layout of the apartment to the family’s needs, always maintaining the intention of creating spacious and open spaces that encourage connection between the areas.
In the renovation of this apartment by Sandra Tarruella Interioristas, the choice and treatment of materials play a crucial role. We have sandblasted some walls to expose the existing brick, while others have been painted with lime paint, tinted with natural dyes. We restored and painted the ceilings, some of which include vaults and others with wooden beams, preserving the original structure and, in some cases, reinforcing them with metal beams.
The renovation has not only transformed the space to adapt to contemporary needs but also succeeded in preserving the authenticity and historical essence of the place. Sandra Tarruella Interioristas has created a home that balances modern functionality with the architectural richness of its past.
