Bacallaneria Perelló’s store design, located in the newly inaugurated Mercat del Ninot in Barcelona, is a project that aims to recover the essence of traditional cod stands.

In this new project, the creation of large refrigerated displays made of white Macael marble stands out. These are independent showcases of various dimensions and heights with curved finishes, arranged randomly on a large continuous base of black porcelain stoneware, where each piece has been personalized by marking the surface with a schematic and geometric drawing of a cod leaf.

In one of the less crowded corners, a tasting area with a kitchen and beverage sales has been planned. Warm and comfortable materials are used in this space.

For the design of Bacallaneria Perelló’s store, an olive green finish has been applied as a background color for the stall. The displayed products are enhanced by creating chromatic compositions combining containers. Occasionally, rounded frames made of natural pine wood appear to focus attention on selected products or as supports for communication boards.

The suspended wooden ceiling, sloping and curved, draws inspiration from the maritime theme of wooden ship decks.
