Turris Gracia bakery renovation, located on Gran de Gràcia street in Barcelona, is an adaptation of the first store designed in Illa Diagonal. We renovated the retail space with the aim of conveying the brand’s values, turning it into a bakery with a retail area. The industrial-inspired space draws inspiration from traditional bakeries, emphasizing the tradition and craftsmanship of the trade, with the intention of involving the customer more in the creation process.
As for the presentation of bread, it is displayed in wicker baskets hung on vertical iron profiles, combined with shelves. Furniture made of iron, evoking the carts used in the bakery, and a long wooden table with trestles serve as counters for bread, pastries, and bakery products.
To create a neutral and functional space, it was decided to line one wall with corrugated metal with an industrial character in white. The facade is redesigned to allow for a more generous entry of natural light, increasing the visibility of the store from the street. Similarly, wooden carpentry is combined with the top lined with oak wood, which in turn serves as support for the logo painted with stencil.
On the other hand, as a distinctive element in this location, suspended lamps made of pine wood are used. This is a design created specifically for this space, thanks to which warm light strips are fixed, providing simplicity. It is a nod to the previous design found in Turris Borrell, but in this case, they are placed horizontally, adding a distinctive touch to the space.
In summary, the renovation of Turris bakery in Gracia maintains the essence of the brand by adapting the design. With this interior design project, a cozy and authentic space has been created for its customers.
