Rocambolesc Madrid ice cream parlor design, located in the iconic San Miguel Market of Madrid, posed a fascinating challenge. In this case, the task was to adhere to the rigorous regulations of the markets while preserving the essence and uniqueness of the brand, maintaining its unique identity intact. Despite being the smallest Rocambolesc store to date, space limitations were transformed into a creative opportunity that allowed for the multiplication of counters and the enhancement of the frontal display, thus creating a distinctive backdrop.
One non-negotiable requirement was the obligation to maintain a white marble apron at a specific height of 70 centimeters, a common feature in all market stalls. This requirement was innovatively resolved by seamlessly integrating the new element into the toppings furniture. The fusion of the furniture was creatively executed by designing modules with intricate shapes and a richer color palette. This aesthetic choice follows the Bauhaus theater-inspired line, characterized by pure geometric shapes and vibrant colors. This approach gives the furniture a prominent visual presence, thus contributing to the continuous evolution of the brand’s distinctive aesthetics.
In summary, the design of Rocambolesc ice cream parlor in Madrid not only manages to comply with the rigorous regulations of the market but also demonstrates the brand’s exceptional ability to transform challenges into creative opportunities. This unique and clever approach not only allows Rocambolesc to meet regulatory requirements but also enables it to maintain its own character and offer a unique experience to its customers, regardless of the environment in which it is located.
