The main idea from the initiation process to the final interior design project was to create a  restaurant atmosphere where the customer, when entering, could sense the history of Panino Giusto, its essence.

We wanted to create a parallelism between the history of Panino Giusto and the history of Milanese design, by thinking a concept that could be understood and also captured from the outside.  We were inspired and played with elements of the Italian-Milanese architecture and design from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’ (Albini,Gio Ponti, Castiglioni, Caccia Dominioni, Vico Magistretti), whom we have grouped due to their use of the historical color hue  of Panino Giusto, for example,  greens, reds and a beige-creamy tones.

In regards to the essence of the place, we believe that the key of Panino is the excellent quality of its products, the raw materials.  This is why we propose a design using natural materials such as noble oak and walnut woods, marble, iron, and brass, which are all linked to the importance that we wanted to give to the exposure and handling of the product, placing it in the foreground of the bookshelf by the entrance of the restaurant, and turning it into the main protagonist.
