restaurants
Barcelona, 2008
The remodeling project of Bar Lobo was born after making the reflection of wanting to adapt the interior design to the demands of the Raval district clientele and visitors, who are used a characteristic business offer in the area: dynamic bars, in constant motion, with a very particular combination of furniture, and having a warm and relaxed ambience.
Our intention was to create a meeting point having a fresh, attractive, and energetic ambience. A place “with soul.” In this regard, the idea was to transform the restaurant, by giving it a twist to the original concept and style, and by turning the mezzanine level into a Japanese restaurant.
The intervention has been to remove the cold kitchen area and place it along with the bar counter, thus, when entering the restaurant there is always someone who greets guests, as well as having the possibility to see the preparation of salads. This is very appealing to watch and gives dynamism and freshness to the premises. To be able to do this, the flooring was lowered to be at the same level to accomplish a more homogeneous space without having any height differences, and be able to place tables around the bar-kitchen area along with the large windows and the double height ceilings.
