offices
Barcelona, 2020
For this new coworking project, located on two levels of a building in the heart of Barcelona, it was necessary to think about new ways of working, and project a fresh, versatile and comfortable workspace. The interior spaces, the patio and terraces have been integrated into the project, where all zones have been resolved as extensions of the same space.
To achieve different workstation typologies, a large central space was created on both levels surrounded by smaller rooms for offices, meeting rooms and various services, together with the outdoor areas, and all were resolved with different types of furniture. The central area has a tile rug made with hydraulic flooring that gives it a modern and distinct touch.
Natural lighting reaches all the spaces on each level, by placing divisions between rooms made with transparent glass and metal profiles with panels to provide a touch of distinction to the space. The vaulted ceiling and MEP installations were left exposed, but painted in the same color, and the industrial-type fluorescent lighting throughout the entire ceiling, gives a touch of freshness to the space. A few lamps hanging above the work tables break the homogeneity of this ceiling.
A common space was included near the office, so that users can use it during their breaks, and it includes a bar area to have afterwork events, thus giving more options to use this coworking space.
